Not very much beyond this, but pluggable components would help a lot. By the way, Lenya (http://cocoon.apache.org/lenya/) is based on Cocoon, so its indirect based on Avalon. It would be really nice, if I could use things like the cache or JDBC connection pooling from Avalon.
