Thanks, I will have a look into that! However according to microsoft website
then this newer version is only included in OFFICE 2000 SP3 - too bad if the
users do not have ms office :-(

Anyway this still does not solve the problem on the server! Users can still
upload locally escaped files! DAVExplorer always upload in locally escaped
values.

If this is the case, this has nothing to do with WXP vs W2000, but just 
with the MSDAIPP.DLL version you're using. Please check both.
