Hello Andrey,
for Word, Excel and Powerpoint I can open documents by clicking to a link (using MS Internet explorer). There are needed some registry entries. You can find some details under: http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-slide/WebFolderIssues
I tried the same way for Visio, but opening via a link does not work, as I said. Opening via WebFolder (File/Open/...) works.

Hi, Stefan!
has anybody experiences with opening MS Visio 2003 documents via a html
link.
With Word, Excel etc. it works for me. But if click on a link to a Visio document, it is opened, it is even locked on the webdav server, but I can't save. The "save" button is called "update" ("Aktualisieren" in my german environment).
Has any body an idea?
Well, I can save MS Visio docs if I open it using Windows WebFolders client (or Mac OSX client). But I can not save any MS Visio, or MS Word/Excel/etc. document if I open it by means of clicking on a link / typing in a link in a browser. We have found a way to open MS Office file in a "full edit" mode but it involves ActiveX objects so it works for IE/Windows combo only. Stefan, could you please tell what browser/Slide version do you use?
Yours sincerely, Andrey.
