Hehe - at least you didn't disqualify me or anything because those
aren't good. I'll be spending more time on future proposals, as I
made those in probably 15 minutes each...

Hi Ricky,
...Hello. I signed up on google code to make logos for Sling and
microsling....
Welcome! For those of us who are not following GHOP, see
http://code.google.com/p/google-highly-open-participation-asf/
issues/detail?id=2
(and people, note that additional tasks can be suggested at
http://code.google.com/p/google-highly-open-participation-asf/wiki/
Tasks)
...First set:
http://www.kb3llm.org/apachelogo/apache.jpg - Sling
http://www.kb3llm.org/apachelogo/msapache.jpg - Microsling....
As I said in the GHOP tracker, I think those lack a distinctive
"graphic invention", the arrangement of text around the feather
doesn't create a distinctive shape. Compare to the Wicket, Jackrabbit
or Cocoon logos for example.
...Second set:
http://www.kb3llm.org/apachelogo/highway_to_sling.jpg - Sling
http://www.kb3llm.org/apachelogo/highway_to_msling.jpg -
Microsling...
These won't work as logos, for example they would render poorly if
printed on paper in black and white. Compare to the current Sling logo
(on the left of http://incubator.apache.org/sling/site/index.html)
which has a distinctive shape that, even in black and white, cannot be
missed.
...Like I said - more to come...
Sure, looking forward to that!
