Tuesday's Hardwarezone meeting with Jackie and Leng Wee went well.

We agreed to work without contract -- in essence, it is a goodwill
agreement between all concerned, and nobody can sue anybody :) This seems
to be ideal since both parties are no-pay volunteers.

We provide tech support and Linux consulting in exchange for server space
from them.

Also, they are preference for advertising and linking to any new stuff
that we happen to put at SLP (e.g. when we have something new to announce
at our site, we inform them before informing other sites like Wired
Republic, etc).

We explained our plans: project home pages, CVS and mailing lists, plus
the usual stuff.

They're building a new server for joint use (hardwarezone + SLP).

Essentially SLP + HWZone is just one symbiosis now.

Also, we set up and help them administer a POP3 virtual hosting service.
We are concerned about the security problems. But we are one team now.
It looks like we will be choosing apache, qmail, bind, ssh for the main
services.

Once the server is set up, we should set up an slp-admin mailing list for
technical stuff, and put the HWZone folks on it too. (I'm feeling pai-seh
to ask alf to set up another list at his server, despite my impatience...
:P).

Rhan.
