Having spent a great deal of time with new users coming from a DOS/Windows
background (as I did) I am delighted to see Caldera producing a "Dummies"
version. It is much easier to show someone " the other wonderful things you can
do" once they can see that the OS is not "only for nerds/geeks" than to try to
show them the configurability of the system first.
Most windows9x users have never set up a system, so they see the setting up of
Linux as peculiar to Linux rather than the same process you have to go through to
set up any OS.
Caldera is great for ex-windows users - as a starting point. It is also useful
for many other installations.
