Not all the rest of the world. BT have been dragging their feet comprehensively
on ADSL (doubtless with an eye on their low-end Kilostream business) and we
won't be getting it much earlier. And as for cable modems, while NTL have
started a rollout, it keeps getting stalled and proceedeth very slowly. It'll
be touch and go as to whether Oxford (where I live) gets ADSL or
cable modems first. And I have a nasty feeling that the 2000-2001 football
season will be under way before it actually happens.....
I also believe that France Telecom are not much further advanced.
Oh, and since you're only 30 mins away from it, a joyous Yuletide to all
