Australians take to new technology _when it is offered_...  <sigh>  DSL in
the US runs at ~US$20/month for half a meg, both directions.  <argh>

Well Magnadata used to run DSL over those copper lines Telstra runs for
people running alarm systems (PAPL?).  Since being bought out by Davnet
they might have stopped tinkering with such things.
