I found a process on my system called snmpd and I thought I
would investigate what it is. man snmpd produced the above
gobbledegook. The rest of the man page is no more
enlightening. If you already know what it is, you don't
really need the explanation. If you don't (and I still don't)
then this is totally opaque. Is there any good reason why
computer documentation is required to be unintelligable?
What information? from where? why? who or what is the sender?
what operations? What does SNMP mean?
I know that some of the members of this list find themselves
documenting. This is a voice in the wilderness forlornly
requesting that man pages be written so that normal,
uninformed people can read them.
