hi,
I had the luxury of starting with a box without
any OS. And so I created fat16 partition with
old m$dos 6.0. Linux partition was created using
slackware boot+root disks. Installed win98 followed
by slackware.
The basic strategy was to determine how much space
to allocate to each partition (including swap) prior
to installing anything.
There are tools which allow you to resize partitions.
However, I have not tried any so I really don't know. :-(
Can you put in another hard disk into your notebook ??
And install linux on it !!
Good luck.
Regards,
Rajnish
