I set up my daughter's machine using a KTX connexant PCI modem and it has
worked from the start without a hitch. Her machine is also on my home network.
These modems may have caused problems for some people, but I have not had a
problem with any that I have helped my friends set up. I personally prefer my
external modem, but if the source is available, why not take them up on their
offer to check them out. Wh knows, we may be pleasantly surprised ;-}.
