Been there, done that several times.
I've got an online contact manager I wrote, that I set up so that it would
work out the network a given mobile number was in and then use the
appropriate SMS gateway, to allow someone on the website to send an SMS
message to the person's mobile. ( Basically be my own web-to-SMS gateway.
UNFORTUNATELY, these web to sms places come and go quite quickly, so while
they are fine for one-offs, they arn't any good for programmed solutions.
Actually, now that we have cable ( and hence a spare phone line ), I've been
thinking of setting up the modem to phone to all three networks and do it
that way...
