Tell you what though, they are slipping. NetWare 5 (5.1 has a better
implementation) has X. Thus under X you can run Java applications like
ConsoleOne. (Like NWadmin)
Thus you have an administration program on a Console that runs under Java
and allows you to do anything really to the box. Such as mount / UN mount
partitions and copy files. its nothing special but you can do it..
When we have a server in a office we make it as hard as we can for someone
to get to the console because if they do and they know what they are doing
then we are up the shit. Thus locking the server in a cupboard somewhere in
the basement is a common site.
I love it when the staff don't even know where the server is... or that they
have one..
