What is needed is a "package management" tool - yes, i
know there's GLINT, etc. but something that works
slightly differently...
For eg;
1. Prints up a list of all installed packages
2. Checks relevant distro website for updates
3. Allows you to click on a check-box to grab updates
and install automagically, or grap 'n' save.
4. Can be run via a script as a cron job to regularly
check on certain packages.
Maybe a bit of overkill (in fact, definately !!), but
worth thinking about.
