I am running Samba on a Linux host attached to our network which consists of a
combination of NT and Unix machines. From any of the Unix machines, I can
connect to the Linux Samba server with smbclient but when trying to map the
resource from a Windows NT workstation, I get an "access denied" error. The log
shows the following message:
[2000/07/14 14:21:10, 1] lib/util_sock.c:client_name(997)
Gethostbyaddr failed for 192.168.17.244
I have not been able to search the Samba indexes because the us1.samba.org
machine seems to be down at the moment. Can anyone suggest to me what the
problem might be?
Thanks,
Dennis
