Actually, most machines I've seen under Win2k let you pull up the properties
of each network connection and view the link speed (but you have to cound
the number of zeros because 10000000 and 100000000 are hard to tell apart:
stupid UI).  I've got 2 cards in my current machine and it correctly shows
the connection speed.  Could be because they are both 3Com though?

Still, the fact that the interface is there sounds like a good thing to put
it /proc at some stage and I'm sure there will eventually be a way to do
this.  A post to the kernel mailing list might even be enough to do the
trick?
