What about a short shell script to time the transfer of 10
or more core dumps or any biggish file to an NFS directory
on another machine? Or send stuff out the interface and back
to your own machine and time it. I'm sure you'd establish
whether it was 10 or 100 Mbps as that's an order of mag
difference.
