I disagree. Distributions are a part of the linux community. There is
very little "don't install distro FOO, you should use BAH instead" talk
on here. If the conversation becomes centered around a distribution that
a particular person is not interested in, they can stop reading that
thread.
For my own part, I like seeing how problems are solved in distributions
that I don't actively use. There is usually very little that is entirely
distribution specific -- that is, most solutions contain some elements
that are applicable in general. To lose this information because it had
to gone to the FOO distribution list would be a shame.
