I know that there are some TeX add on packages that do notation stuff. Do
a search for MusicTeX and that should give you a start there are also a
number of MusicTex archives (mostly classical) that are available, however
I have no experience of them, or of MusicTeX to be honest. I tend to use
abc format and there is an abc2postscript tool that is available.
