[SLUG] Catch 22.rpm

The rpm code has moved from version 3 to version 4 

I need to get some rpm's installed on a box with rpm v3, but the rpm's I
want are v4.  Even the source code rpm.*.src.rpm is v4 so I can't upgrade
my rpm to install v4 rpms.

Bugger.

Suggestions?
