For those who (like me) had no idea what ECI is..

Electronic Commerce Interface..

Thats that program that the ATO want you to use to lodge your BAS
statements electronically.

When I asked why.. They said "Lack of Interest"..

so I asked.. "how did you gauge interest?"

And they said "from the number of enquiries we received"

Which IMHO is a pathetic way of working that out.. since most people are
pretty apathetic when it comes to unix/linux support.. and wouldn't even
have bothered asking.

Anyway.. I've been given a contact to send complaints to..

Now considering this app looks to be just a Java program, with a "Binary"
installer.. Why can't they just throw this open to a 3rd party to
build/support? Or even (shock horror).. Open Source..

Anyway.. get out your pens and write to :-
