If you have a Surftime application in and are waiting, I'd better withdraw the
above gracefully. I've recently acquired a NTL phone line and accompanying
free ISP, which works pretty well in Oxford. Previously I had a Freeserve Time
thing and it did take a week to set up.
I should be more surprised about the lack of cable modem in the Smoke, of all
places. But I'm not. :-) And with ADSL rollout going as fast as a very slow
thing, and 40 squids a month as well, the picture could do with improvement.
I'm calling NTL about the cable modem now. :-)
