I've played with it and Storm - Progeny is definitely the one to go for.

In fact, Storm have just filed for bankruptcy. The entire reason for them
going out of business can be attributed to the inability to install the
distro without a mouse. It just crashes. ;)

They both have graphical installers, perky package managers, etc. Of course,
you can just use normal Debian and add the Storm and Progeny source lines to
/etc/apt/sources.list

Progeny will probably make a kickarse new user's distro -> the
infrastructure is all there and ready to go in Debian, but I don't think the
newbie 'market' really interests most Debian developers. So, there's room
for someone to fix that.

I'm quite happy with Debian as it is, however I really hope Progeny are more
successful than Storm. Whilst the platform kicks butt for servers and ease
of administration, there's a lot there ready and waiting to make a very cool
desktop distro.
