[SLUG] progeny debian

hi guys

background: currently i am deadrat and *BSD weenie

just wondering if anyone has any comments on whether progeny debian is a
more gentle introduction to the ways of deb or whether i should throw
caution to the wind and sink my teeth straight into the bare basics
install...??
