Emancipate v. liberate, free from restraint.

I dunno. Some people might equate that with "pirated".

As Martin pointed out, I've seen the word "libre" is being used more on
web pages and such. I thought "libré" was french, but given the latin 
origins of Italian, Spanish, French and English I guess that base word is
in all those languages. But I'm no linguist....
