Greetings all,

Getting ready for the Easter work hiatus, I decided to install SuSE 7.1 on my
spare 16Gb IBM IDE drive.

Being aware of the usual lILO constraints about being resident <1024
cylinders, I created /boot (10Mb), swap (128Mb, and the rest as / (probably
NOT the most efficient use of a filesystem, but sufficient for my testing
purposes.

I get LILO booting to the "LI" prompt then nothing...nyet, nada, zilch.

I have man'd and info'd until I'm seriously fromaged-off, and everything
points to LILO being in the wrong place.

But it ain't !!

My BIOS supports NORMAN, LBA, LARGE and AUTO drive types - tried them all
with the same result. Funny things is that AUTO works fine on the 5.1Gb I'm
using now, but not on the iBM.

Any ideas ?

Have a great Easter all....

Jon
