Hi, I picked up a Sparc Station 10 ( Dual 60 MHz Processors and 112M Memory) but it has no hard drive, floppy, monitor or keyboard. I would like to put Linux on this baby and so I am try to do a network install of Slackware Sparc Linux (7.1 I think) and talking to it via the serial port. I boots to prom OK. Anyway I am trying to get it to recognise a spare Compaq 1.05G SCSI drive I have, which worked in an external SCSI enclosure I have (SCSI-1 connectors). I noticed that the IDC connectors on the internal scsi cable was 54 pin not the standard 50 (27 pins aside as against 25). Now from my reading from web sources (sunhelp and docs.sun etc) the standard drive fitted to these beasties is the Seagate Hawk series which has a standard 50 pin connector. Now have I got something special and any help to get it to talk to my scsi drive would be appreciated.
