I can help you as I have 8 dial in modems all which special configurations so all I need is this...

Upon opening a terminal after dialing in I get the Redhat 7.2 Greeting in plain text, requesting a logon. I logon to the machine via the terminal, and can then manualy invoke pppd with an alias I setup in bashrc. I then get the "normal" ppp gobbldy gook but don`t know what to do then?????? My problem I believe is this: mgetty is not using it`s AutoPPP feature when I try to login??? Maybe I`m not even getting logged in??? (as win2k pro sais) Does anyone think they can help me out with a quick fix? Possibly config files that is working for you NOW on a similar release? I`ve used so many different methods to do this but they all seem to render similar results, or sometimes none at all. Scrambling!
