Something which bit a friend of mine for a few hours the other day was that he was missing a "*" in his /etc/ppp/pap-secrets (or /etc/ppp/chap-secrets) file -- so make sure you have a "*" in that file. It's pretty easy to overlook. His symptoms were exactly the same as yours: Windows appears to connect to the Linux box fine, and the icon actually shrinks to the taskbar as it would if you had a normal connection, but it drops out right after that with an authentication error. -- #ozone/algorithm <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - trust.in.love.to.save -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
