Shorting the hardware reset jumper is what you want to do. In this context
"short" means short circuit or in other words hold a metal screwdriver or
perhaps a paperclip accross the pins, tweezers or pliers also work a
treat. The real trick in any case is finding the actual pair of pins as
finding the wrong ones can be unhealthy.
