We need more information than a 'no connection', Paul.  Can you
see the modem at all during the connection?  Does it actually
dial and connect to your ISP, but drop out after that?

Try turning on the modem's monitor speaker if you can.  ATM1
should do it (add M1 to one of your modem's init strings).  And
what is the name of this '2nd Init String' that you're talking
about?  We need precise terms; most of us can probably help you
but are unfamiliar with KInternet's terminology.
