If you combine xine with the dvdnav plugin, you get great menu support and
playback for encrypted dvd's (encrypted dvds are played via a 'hot potato'
blame passing chain though*). The dvdnav plugin uses a snapshot of the ogle
code for the menu support, regularly updated.

In addition, xine does loads of other formats, whereas ogle is all about
DVD.

Cheers,
J.

* DVD decryption is delegated to the libdvdread library, which delegates it
to libcss or libdvdcss. No one really wants to take the fall for any legal
  issues.
