A few people are still suffering the odd authentication problem due to Telstra but this should be resolved soon as I understand Internode will be going to L2tp. I had one connection that lasted about ~3 weeks before a blackout dropped my link due to the modem losing power. The network is very fast and they have 24/7 helpdesk and resolve non Telstra problems quickly.
Simon from Internode is also looking at introducing a sort of ********unlimited******** plan that will throttle your speed if you are doing heavy usage which will speed back up as you slow your usage habits down. Hopefully they will decide that their pipes can handle this and they will give it a run. :) ?3-4 hours flatout before they start to throttle you daily.
