It's for questions regarding linux at any level - it's based in Sydney so you'll find linux users from all levels who live in the area posting to this list. > I was advised by a peter on the Yahoo.groups.com Slackwarelinux list > to try this site. Well, Slackware isn't what I'd call a newbie's distribution. > Do the members of SLUG really know something that I don't know and > really should. I would be extremely gratefull if some one would be so > good as to tell me. Sluggers know lots of things but whether you need to know them is your decision :-) I have been subscribed on and off for three years and helpful people have dug me out of several deep holes I got myself into. I hang around and try to return the favour where I can and extend my knowledge by listening to other people provide help. > I thought you might be interested in reading this web page: > http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=016624 Not really - if you take the time to describe what you are trying to achieve to the list and what problems you encountered someone here is more likely to give you the feedback you need to progress. -=-=-==-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Graeme Robinson - Graenet consulting www.graenet.com - internet solutions -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==---=-=--=-=-= -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group - http://slug.org.au/ More Info: http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/slug
