THe bible on browser differences for web developers
seems to be 'Dynamic HTML" by Danny Goodman.  Another
edition has just been published.

I had a browse through it the other day.

The contortions one has to go through to guarantee portability
through all NS4,Moz,IE4,5,6 would almost make you weep.
