As well as possibly being a dodgy power supply, it may also be a dodgy
power service from the mains. At various times, I can come into find
half my machines rebooted, which had my scratching my head. I suspected
the power service and this was confirmed when it happened once when I
was actually at my machine.
With privatisation/corpratisation of the power suppliers, the quality of
the supply is becoming worse. There are more brown outs/drop outs
occurring now. Different computers (different power supplies) react
differently. So some will reboot and others ride out the brown out.
