A TV Tuner card for your PC that is supported under Linux. I believe the BrookTree chipsets are fairly well supported. As for software to record, I've seen 1-2 projects on freshmeat that appear to be doing what you wish to do. You might want to look on freshmeat via a search. An external antenna point would be of benefit too, since using an internal antenna with your computer doesn't give good results. Well never did for me.
