If you installed as root, from an RPM, then you don't have to anything. Unless the RPM was badly put together. The user MAY have to logout and login again.

I seem to be able to send email from Kmail but when I go to check mail it comes up with an "Error connecting to localhost" message. I have tried all sorts of configs (obviously not the right one) to no avail.
Also when tring to send mail to another user it comes up with a "User unknown" error even though the user has been entered using the User manager.
BTW this is on a laptop that dosn't have internet access yet.
