Hi There,

I was reading a post about configuring sendmail and I saw that I can send
you part of my maillog file with hopes of you knowing what the problem is
=) I'm using the latest and greatest version of sendmail on Slackware
Linux 9.0. The problem I am having is when I try to sendmail mail when
the mail is coming from the IP of my machine. For example, the IP of my
machine is 68.115.75.246 and when I telnet to port 25 and send a message
coming from [EMAIL PROTECTED], it works fine because msoe.edu is validated
somehow. However, when I do the same for a message coming from
[EMAIL PROTECTED], I get this error in the telnet session:

mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
553 5.1.8 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Domain of sender address
[EMAIL PROTECTED] does not exist

The maillog contents is as follows (it shows both the successful mail sent
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the unsuccessful mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]):

Jun 7 12:46:07 organization sm-mta[4096]: h57Hi3JW004096:

I know sendmail is rejecting any mail coming from 68.115.75.246, but why
and how do I fix it? If you could help me out, that would be awesome.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it!

Sincerely,
Andy
