*SNIP* Eventually you have to toss your open version as it is > too hard to do 'write once run anywhere'. Does this sound familiar?
*SNIP* it's about time microsoft started complying with iso standards. however, while ever your arse points to the ground, m$ will never, ever, comply with iso standards as there's a dollar to be made in exploiting users by sneaking about behind our collective backs and gathering information they aughtn't to have. to hell with that, give me GNU/Linux anyday with it's forever indevelopement apps and various varients there of. I've been running GNU/Linux for over 2 years. Were it not for speakup, a free screen review package and more than that, a set of kernel patches, I wouldn't be able to do a complete install of GNU/Linux right from putting in the floppy and partitioning and formatting the drives to installation and configuration unassisted. there's where microsoft die in the arse. cooperation is rhe key. it really is. that's enough of my rantings -- Shaun Oliver "Becareful of the toes u step on today, they maybe connected to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow!"
