I think it would be a pity of SLUG fragmented. I'm sure I'm like many
people. I use Linux for a number or tasks and run into lots of varied
problems. What would inevitably happen is that I would end up joining lots
of seperate mailing lists and get the same information I get now.

OTOH, sig's are a fantastic idea in that if you have a particular need or
interest you can focus on that, but within the umbrella of SLUG.

As a non-expert, I find it difficult to give back to SLUG what I
get out of it. I wonder how many others are in the same position, and
what, if anything they can do about it.
