I can only guess since I've never used Xandros, but it sounds like
Xandros is finding an existing installation and assuming that you'd
never want to hurt it, hence aborting the installation. One option might
be to use fdisk either from your boot floppy or from windows to delete
the Linux partitions and try the installer then. If there's nothing you
want to keep on the partition, that's probably the use-case the Xandros
guys tested best when they wrote the installer.

One problem at a time. I still think ethernet's the way to go, but cross
