Hi all
I have been having probs here with getting X to run on my laptop. All was fine yesterday but on the train home I got a message "modprobe: Can't locate module radeon"
I didn't change any kernel things or XF86Config-4 on this machine nor do any upgrades. I have trying to work out why it would suddenly fail and have just found out that X works for root but not for a normal user.
Now I'm suspecting that the message is misleading me. Maybe something that is written by root can't be written when X starts as a normal user?
Any suggestions on what to look for. I have already pruned out all in /tmp
