About to embark on purchasing a little and quiet box for running my movies/music from I have come across the shuttle bar bones system and wondering what peoples experiences are with this.
My needs I think a fairly minimum
Good graphics card for displaying DVD’s
Cpu power to handle the above
Room for 2 hard drives prefer sata – but ide will do
10/100 on board
Small form factor and quiet power supply
Spif audio out ( and supported by alsa)
Need to be able to run linux.
I have also started to look at the mac mini, not bad on first look
