I recently purchased a Lucent Technologies PC24E-H-FC Orinoco Silver PCMCIA wifi card, because it was on the compatibility list. I'm using Debian on Intel.
The kernel has no problems identifying the card and loading the right module. iwconfig reports sensable things. With the orinoco_cs 0.13e driver, with the monitor patches, Kismet is able to see the network I want to connect to (and 3 others as well). Supposedly, in managed mode this card automagically scans... but it never finds any of the 4 networks. This card doesn't appear to let you set the channel (although the windows driver seems to be able to). The lastest driver version (0.15rc2) segfaults. Is anyone else using this card or driver? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. -- Regards Peter Miller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> /\/\* http://www.canb.auug.org.au/~millerp/ PGP public key ID: 1024D/D0EDB64D fingerprint = AD0A C5DF C426 4F03 5D53 2BDB 18D8 A4E2 D0ED B64D See http://www.keyserver.net or any PGP keyserver for public key.
