i think that in general, it would be nice if people would
answer questions then post religious material, rather

Sorry, rather than be accused of being a religious nut, I'll point out
that Ubuntu has Debian under the hood.


But, Ubuntu is geared toward being a much nicer desktop system -
whereas stock Debian is geared to being flexible enough to be anything
at all you want it to be

You're still a religious nut, you just happen to be right..ish :)
