Now all I have to do is try a few laptops with a LiveCD distro to see what
woorks/doesn't work and make my choice based on features/price.

I want a unit that will play dvd movies and am wondering what the minimum
CPU reqd would be.
I have a HP Pavillion ze4103s which is about 2 1/2 years old now
Most of the units that I'm considering have Celeron M processors.
It uses Celeron 1.2Ghz with a very basic ATI mobility chip set, Total ram is
512Meg, I have installed Mandrake 9.2 and 10 on it and now I
Gentoo 2005.0, I have tested elive on it as well.
I do play DVDs, and dvix from the laptop without any problems.
