This is actually normal - it's not finding a grub splash image (as opposed
to the 'usplash' startup screen, which is all done in user space as part of
the initramfs), but Ubuntu doesn't ship with a grub splash. You can install
some yourself if you want, but isn't it nicer to let grub slide by without
its menu interrupting you at all? :-)
