Have the courage of your convictions. If you really think that Linux is
a better tool to know - for a builder who wants to browse/email/send out
quotations - then install Linux. (I would for that scenario).

Tell them what it is, and that other folk who are computer literate may
not have heard of it yet. Better yet, leave the install CD with them,
and tell them if anyone else is interested they can take a copy - its
free!
