I'm trying to get this card going on an old laptop and am using Damn Small Linux. I didn't do what was necessary to ensure persistence of that installation of the driver bits, waiting to see whether I could get the card to work first.
This is an ancient version of ndiswrapper. The current version is
1.40, and has fixes for PCMCIA cards --- I don't think that ersion 1.14
had that. Upgrade and you may have a chance.
Again, DSL imposes limitations on me in terms of versions of software.

One thing that makes this inability to get the wireless card going less frustrating than it would otherwise have been is that I have got an Ethernet card that does work with the laptop and DSL (though I've had it unplugged during this exercise, to avoid possible conflicts).

Thanks again for taking the trouble to try to help.
